Vehicle Description
STK 3441 1935 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe Cabriolet
The 1935 Chevrolet is a great platform for a modern street rod and
this beautiful Custom Deluxe Cabriolet is a very compelling
example. The Chevy received a complete older restoration that
included a broad range of mechanical enhancements. This stunning
'35 is registered with the Antique Automobile Club of America
(AACA) and the owner has included a folder of receipts and notes
from the restoration.
The chassis of the street rod is a boxed steel frame based on the
dimensions of a '34-'35 Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan. It was designed and
produced by Outlaw Performance Inc. in western Pennsylvania. Old
Chicago Street Rods furnished the fiberglass body and the steel
hood w/louvered sides is hydraulically operated. A majestic
two-tone Navy Blue/Off White finish with hand-painted pinstripping
is outstanding. The overall attention to detail on the exterior is
amazing - there are way too many nuances to list. Everything is
top-shelf, frenched or polished. Look at the photos again. The
cabriolet windshield has been chopped 3" and a removable Carson
fiberglass hardtop was covered in Navy Blue canvas material. Door
handles have been shaved and fitted with remote door poppers.
Polished 15" Billet alloy wheels mount BFGoodrich Comp T/A
ultra-performance radials.
A luxurious tufted leather interior features adjustable C5 Corvette
bucket seats paired with a narrowed rear bench seat and matching
door cards. The stylish dashboard incorporates a full array of
digital gauges set in a Dakota Dash pod. Convenience items include
air conditioning, tilt wheel and Pyle AM/FM stereo sound system
w/remote that has a CD player and SD card connector. There is also
a touchscreen with front/rear cameras and GPS interface.
Horsepower is supplied by a cast-iron GM 502ci crate motor with
forged crank/rods and 4-bolt mains. It is fitted with an aluminum
intake, 800cfm Holley double pumper, hydraulic roller cam, coated
tube headers and stainless exhaust. Cooling is managed by a custom
aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans and fuel is supplied by a
Holley electric pump. Behind this mighty 'Rat' sits a Richmond
5-speed manual gearbox w/Lokar shifter and a custom aluminum
driveshaft transfers torque to a 9" Ford differential with street
gearing. Finally, the chassis is equipped with TCI Engineering
independent front coil spring suspension and rebuilt Mustang II
manual rack & pinion steering. (A power steering conversion unit is
included.) The rear suspension has control bars with adjustable
coil-over springs/shocks and brakes are manual 4-wheel disc. There
is much, much more to this robust Chevy street rod - it must be
seen to be appreciated. This handsome Cabriolet will soon make a
new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
