For Sale: 2013 Scion FR-S in Concord, North Carolina
We don't have to tell you that this 2013 Scion FR-S is a mean
machine. It has a custom blackout style and a big downforce rear
spoiler you can see from the front. But this full package is so
awesome that this car is not just about flexing its glamour
mussels. There were thousands $$$$$ invested in professionally
upgrading the suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust... and, oh yeah,
supercharging the motor to make it super-fast to go with its
super-sharp handling.
This car takes the natural progression of the FR-S to its limit.
These cars were specifically built to be fun from day one, but
there was also a robust nature and the right fundamentals to make
sure people could turn this fun sports car into a tuned precision
machine. We'll get into the details of the engineering in a moment,
but let's first appreciate some of the style that was added, too.
The black paint appears to be the factory application and retains
the kind of gloss and shine you want on a custom like this. The
black also provides a good background for the full decal package,
tastefully done in silver. And while these graphics announce this
is a supercharged coupe on the rear bumper, the adjustable NRG
carbon fiber wing already declares this is something special. Plus,
we love the hints of red that help highlight a racecar style. You
see it in the tow hooks, brake calipers, and even as an accent on
the upgraded Enkei 17-inch wheels. It all makes for a package that
looks powerful while also having poise.
The color theme continues inside with more dark style and the right
hints of red. High-back front bucket seats, a leather-wrapped
sports steering wheel, and an ideally-placed shifter make this a
great driver's car. And not only do the factory readouts put the
tach prominently in the center, but you also now have A-pillar
readouts for a comprehensive head-up package. There are even
Passport radar detector controls integrated into the center
console. But while you know this is a speedy machine, it never
loses its practical side. This includes nice features like
cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, power locks, dual
airbags, and an electric rear defogger. The factory premium radio
is a Pioneer AM/FM/XM/CD touchscreen with Bluetooth.
You'll love showing off the engine bay at cars & coffee. Because
while you may be parked next to a muscle car with a chrome-laden
motor, true enthusiasts can instantly see that this dark and clean
presentation is where the real power is. The base motor is the
Toyota/Subaru 2.0-liter motor that is related to the ones you'd
find in the WRX. So you have the boxer layout's low center of
gravity and a hardy construction that loves upgrades. The receipt
file shows a proper professional build on this motor, including a
full Innovate Motorsports, inter-cooled supercharger kit, Mishimoto
oil cooler kit, and Agency Power stainless steel headers feeding
the cat-delete Borla exhaust. You completely control this enhanced
power with the six-speed manual transmission featuring a
Competition Stage III clutch. The fully-independent sports
suspension is taken to the next level with features like Fortune
Auto 500-series coil overs, adjustable camber plates, and a Wilwood
four-wheel disc big brake kit. The upgraded wheels mean you have a
super-grippy set of Goodyear Eagle tires. While this is
exceptionally quick and handles like it's on rails, it isn't just
built for the track. Most of the work was done in 2014-2015. The
mileage shows that it has been driven, and the overall condition
shows it has been done with proper care. So it fires up with an
easy feeling of a good later-model car, and features like power
steering, ABS, and cruise control make it easy to hit the road. So
while you probably wouldn't use a professional tuner car of this
caliber for commuter duty, it also has the right usability that you
certainly could.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, owner's
manual, and built receipts that detail the work that has gone into
this professionally-built coupe. This FR-S is powerful, custom, and
bold... all without losing the right hints of practicality. So you
know you don't want to miss this speedy Scion. Call now!
