Absolutely stunning Black Corvette Sting Ray. A complete frame off nut and bolt restoration with upgrades to a modern RestoMod Sting Ray. The attention paid to even the smallest detail is amazing and shows in the true quality of this car. Professionally built by Lucra Cars in San Marcos CA. Less than 2500 miles since completion, all the bugs and kinks have been worked out of this car. Stunning in every way, and better than new.
The all-original 1965 body was stripped, epoxied, primed, and painted. The big block hood is aftermarket. All window glass and trim are said to be original. Original bumpers were sand blasted, and triple chromed plated. Badges are reproductions.
While disassembled the frame was boxed and stiffened, modified to accept the modern LS3 and 4L65E, then it and the remaining suspension components were all sand blasted and powder coated black. Literally every item on this car is new, better than new, condition. The black PPG paint is breathtaking, and the entire interior is all new red leather.
The Corvette was built to look 100% stock, inside and out, from the show room in 1965. Only a true Corvette enthusiast will see the subtle changes without popping the hood or looking under the car. Under the hood is a modern fuel injected LS3 / 4L65E (4 speed OD) Chevy connect and cruise powerplant with a Holley front drive pulley system. The cars electronics are run by a RacePak SmartWire solid state power control module attached to a complete ACC wiring harness. Cooling the car is a Griffen 3 core aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, cooling the driver is a new VintageAir system. Wilwood parts were sourced for the mater cylinder and 6 piston front / 4 piston rear brakes connected with all stainless-steel lines. The suspension is handled by RideTech, adjustable upper and lower control arms in the front with strong arms in the rear, single adjustable coil overs at all 4 corners. Steering is done with Steeroids power rack and pinion steering.
