Vehicle Description
The Pontiac Bonneville spanned a total of 10 generations starting
in 1957 and ending in 2005. The Bonneville received its name from
the Salt Flats in Utah, a famous area known for the setting of many
of the worlds land speed records and where the Bonneville itself
would set one for sedans in the year 2000. Although the name first
appeared as a concept car that more resembled a Corvette, the
Pontiac Bonneville as a model itself would become one of the
largest and heaviest cars of its time. Pontiac would account for
this factor with its new Wide-Track design that pushed the wheels
further towards the fenders than any other car, which made it the
best cornering full-size car in the industry. Pontiacs 2nd
generation Bonneville would feature its iconic spilt grill design
and quad headlamps, with the convertible being top-of-the-line
remaining an iconic collectible and beloved automobile to this
day.
We are very proud to offer this exceptional 1960 Pontiac Bonneville
Convertible refinished in its original Shelltone Ivory White
exterior paint with a Tri-tone Red Leather interior and Morrokide
accents. Powering this Bonneville is the much-desired 389ci V8
engine with tri-carburetion featuring 3 separate 2-barrel Rochester
carburetors producing a stout 318 horsepower with 430 lbs-ft of
torque. This Pontiac cruises beautifully with a Hydra-Matic 4-speed
automatic transmission and economic 3.08 rear axle ratio. This is
one of the finest presented 2nd generation Bonnevilles around and
is loaded with must-have options including Circ-L-Aire factory air
conditioning, Wonder Touch power steering & power brakes, power
window lifts, power top, front bucket seats, padded instrument
panel, driver side remote mirror, AM Wonderbar radio with
Separa-Phonic rear seat speaker and power antenna, E-Z-Eye tinted
glass, day/night rearview mirror, passenger vanity mirror, reverse
lights, courtesy lights and trunk lid service light, carpeted and
rubber Pontiac interior floor mats, matching spare tire with jack
equipment, and nicely presented with aluminum 8-lug wheels wrapped
in Coker Classic radial whitewall tires measuring 215/75R14.
Since its arrival at our museum, we have gone the extra mile to
make sure this Pontiac is as roadworthy as it appears and have
thoroughly cleaned and repaired anything we have come across to
ensure its gets you to and from that car show in comfort! Repairs
and new parts installed as follows: front and rear shocks, drive
belts, A/C drier rebuilt, A/C vacuum actuator, recharged the air
conditioning, engine & transmission mounts, front & rear wheel
cylinders, brake hoses, sway bar links, front upper & lower ball
joints, spark plugs & wires, distributor cap & rotor, ignition
coil, points set, heater hoses, and fresh engine fluids.
You would be hard pressed to find a 1960 Pontiac Bonneville
Convertible with these upscale options and in this great of
condition. Bonneville's are known for their smooth handling and
