1949 included a revamp and new design sifting from prewar Bland /
Minimalism to modern full-width bodies and pontoon fenders. Special
& Deluxe in both Fleetline and Styleline trims. This 4 door Sedan
was born with a 216-c.i. six-cylinder engine and a three-speed
manual transmission. Now small bock Chevy and automatic
transmission. Well thought out and executed build. Aftermarket AC,
under dash rectangle vents. Cruise control. Now sports a small
block Chevy. Shaved door handles with pop latches, fender skirts
add to the streamlined look. Beautiful body shapes accented by very
clean chrome and stainless trim. Airliner shaped chrome hood
ornament. Reverse swipe wiper blades. Battery in trunk inside
plastic battery box. Modern remote-control stereo and cd disk
changer also mounted in trunk. High-performance small block Chevy.
Intake manifold and hi volume water pump ceramic coated to match
the paint job. Performance aluminum radiator. Electric fan. HEI
electronic ignition. Lots of Chrome including the radiator
overflow, valve covers and air cleaner, AC compressor. Partial
stainless steel upper radiator hose. Chrome transmission dipstick.
Fantastic candy apple red three course paint job. Basecoat, faint
metallic, and at least two coats of clearcoat over sheet-metal
showing hours and hours of prep work. Excellent body fit, gaps &
lines. Beautiful chrome and trim. Front and rear bumpers painted
