Vehicle Description
Crosley was a small, independent American Auto manufacturer of
Subcompact cars starting all the way back in 1939, and was active
until 1952 with the interruption of WWII, that was probably the
beginning of the end. However, Crosley had a lot of firsts, not to
mention a American Microcar. A couple of some "firsts" is that they
were the first affordable, mass market car with overhead camshafts,
the first term of the "Sports-Utility" and the first to be fitted
with a 4-wheel caliper type disc brakes just to mention a few. They
were also very light-weight making them fuel-efficient. This
particular Station Wagon appears to have had a re-spray and some
restoration done many years ago and would consider this a driver
quality automobile that starts very easy, idles nicely, shifts,
brakes and goes down the road as you would expect of a microcar
from nearly 75 years ago! Furthermore, the all the lights work, has
a heater and the glass is all there with working sliding windows.
The paint is average at best, the interior is ok, but this is a
complete running and driving example of something you don't see
everyday. Its quite fun to drive!
