Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is excited to offer this 1970 Ford Torino Cobra
2-door Fastback for purchase. This striking black Snake with red
interior has a freshly rebuilt original 429 4V Thunder Jet engine
and C6 transmission. The odometer shows a little over 46,000 miles
on this surviving Muscle Car. This number matching Torino has a new
gas tank and sending unit, the original spare tire and jack, and
original wheels. The factory Rally wheels are covered with BF
Goodrich raised white letter tires. The sparse but stock interior
was perfect for a sleeper but the sound of the exhaust and the
Cobra emblems and 429 badges quickly give up the mystery of this
grocery getter. Documentation for this Ford includes a Marti report
and detailed build sheet. This is a solid example of the era of the
great American Muscle Cars. Drive this one out of our showroom or
have us assist you with shipping anywhere within the United
States!
Most Torino's were conventional cars, and generally the most
popular models were the four-door sedans and two-door hardtops.
However, Ford produced some high-performance versions of the Torino
by fitting them with large powerful engines, such as the 428 cu in
(7.0 L) and 429 cu in (7.0 L) "Cobra-Jet" engines. These cars are
classified as muscle cars. Ford also chose the Torino as the base
for its NASCAR entrants, and it has a successful racing
heritage.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing
and/or $199 documentation fees.
