For Sale: 1972 Ford Mustang in Tracy, California

Vehicle Description

1972 Ford Mustang 63D code fastback with original numbers matching 351 Cleveland H code now converted to 4bbl intake and carb.  A LOT of careful thought and execution went into the restoration of this car and it shows.

ENGINE:  Numbers matching 351 H code Cleveland was completely rebuilt with a .030 overbore approx. 3000 miles ago including forged aluminum pistons, stainless steel valves and hardened valve seats so you can run safely on unleaded fuel now.  High flow oil pump, new cam and lifters maintain factory specs.  Edelbrock 4bbl intake was painted to match the factory Ford blue engine color and 650cfm Holly Carb added for true 4bbl performance.  Factory functional Ram Air system added and a lot of NOS parts used where available.  Radiator was replaced with custom built original NOS style brass and copper unit ($500), new correct original Motorcraft water pump, fuel pump, alternator, voltage regulator, starter, solenoid, coil, distributor with pertronix conversion, power steering pump, new battery with correct original top and hold down as well as cables, all new correct Motorcraft belts, hoses, wires, windshield washer system, master cylinder, complete new dual exhaust system with flowmaster mufflers and correct Ford chrome exhaust tips, correct factory QC markings and decals down to the last detail, A/C system new NOS hoses but does require recharge.

SUSPENSION:  New ball joints, tie rod ends, all new bushings including control arms and sway bar links several years ago, recent spring bushings, KYB front shocks and new rear air shocks.

BRAKES:  Completely rebuilt with new rotors, calipers, drums, flex lines, new ceramic brake pads and rear shoes with new hardware, new master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders.

BODY:  Originally painted code 6F Gold Glow Metallic, body was stripped and repainted in Ford code 9A Raven Black with silver Mach 1 paint trim on hood and quarters as well as side stripes. Note since this is not a true Mach 1 all decals indicate “GT351” instead of “Mach 1”.  I would say the paint is currently 9 out of 10 with some minor paint touch ups from active use.  Some minor swirls and scratches could be buffed out easily and did not show up in pictures but I tried to show the chips and blemishes that did show up.  Original sale point was Phoenix and the car has NO rust issues at all with all original fenders, doors, floors, subframe, etc clean and rust free when body work was completed.  Ram air hood was made functional and original hood twist locks were added as well as correct front spoiler and rear wing, aftermarket rear window louvers added as well as rear Mach 1 tail panel trim and 1971 pop open gas cap, new chrome rear bumper and tail lamp assemblies, New Mach 1 grille with sport lamps and correct headlamp bulbs as well as urethane front bumper, all fasteners, bolts, screws, nuts are correct Ford fasteners sourced from AMK in correct finishes and used in the proper factory locations as per the 1972 Mustang assembly guide manual.  All new rubber weatherstrip, window felts, grommets, bumpers and seals so the car is silent and rattle free even at high speeds, original OEM tinted glass is excellent with new windshield.  New Magnum 500 wheels (15X7 front and 15X10 rear) with BFG Radial T/A tires and NOS center caps.

INTERIOR:  Originally medium ginger in color, the interior has undergone a complete replacement and restoration with black deluxe interior including new headliner, dash, carpeting, door panels and dash trim and facia, new deluxe console with NOS factory clock, new three point seat belts, upgraded TMI deluxe front seats with side bolsters ($1800), a rare NOS original black Ford steering wheel ($1000), all gauges were rebuilt and recalibrated so they all function and read correctly including tach, fuel, temp, oil pressure, amps and all dash lighting replaced with brighter LED lights.  New Retro Sound Motor 2 stereo with Bluetooth and 8100 amplified sub woofer looks original including correct Ford knobs, sub woofer gain control in center console.  NOS parts were sourced to add the optional convenience lighting package offered originally including the rare map light and under dash lighting ($400), intermittent windshield wiper option, a rare NOS correct rear view mirror ($250), new sunvisors and dome lighting, new NOS ignition lock and matching door cylinders with original FORD keys, new Mustang logo embroidered floor mats and fully carpeted trunk.  Complete set of factory paperwork including owners manuals, warranty facts, motor oil info card, owners 1972 supplement and premium factory stereo operators guide as well as extensive restoration receipts and Marti report. Shipping included to your mainland USA location if you purchase at listed price.
