retrofit modern Hellcats with classic body designs rendered in
carbon fiber. Featured at the 2022 SEMA show, this custom build
took a 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and refitted it with
ExoMod's C68 "exoskeleton," a carbon fiber body that pays homage to
the iconic 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. Leaving the modern car's
plethora of goodies mainly intact, to utilize the factory layout,
this ExoMod build is 4-inches wider than an original 1968 Charger,
carefully tailored to not heavily modify the original car's sense
of being.Underneath the hood here is the Challenger's supercharged
6.2L/707 HP Hemi V-8 engine backed by the paddle shifter-equipped
TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. The new exo-shell was
given a specially designed carbon fiber dual-snorkel hood and front
spoiler, both left unpainted, and then the panels were sprayed with
a custom Plum Crazy Pearl finish, leaving paint off to allow for
carbon-reveal bumblebee wraparound Scat stripes. The blackout
grille features see-through headlamp covers, argent grille
surrounds and gunmetal trim, while out back, the Satin Black tail
panel is equipped with Gunmetal tail light bezels and smoked
lenses.Inside, this car is retrofitted with a Cognac Italian
leather interior, but the circa-2021 equipment found on SRT models
is still primary to its functionality. Body-color bumpers, Hellcat
fender emblems and dual outside mirrors complete this repurposing,
and the final touches are modern gunmetal-toned Forgeline custom
billet wheels. With an emphasis on grip in any direction, these
wear Nitto NT555 G2 285/35ZR20 tires up front and fatter 315/35ZR20
tires at the rear. There will likely never be a huge number of
these special piece-built cars constructed. With its SEMA and MCACN
heritage, the look of the past and modern engineering, this is
certainly a car that capitalizes on the best of both old and
