1960's. This is a 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III (BJ8) with 39,623
miles on the odometer and approximately 2 miles on the car since a
complete nut and bolt restoration. The car is painted in its
beautiful original Colorado Red, complemented by a correct Black
Leather bucket seat interior and a new Black convertible top and
Black vinyl boot.
This 1966 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII (BJ8) is the whole package and
is finished off with the correct, 60 spoke, knock off wire wheels
and is in outstanding overall condition. No expense has been spared
on this car in bringing her back to life in a form as good or
better than when she left the factory. The 6 cylinder OHV 3 liter
engine with twin SU's has lots of power and starts up without
problem. The gearbox is smooth and easy to negotiate and offers the
Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive so no matter what the
road conditions, she is overall a pleasure to drive.
The car has a floor mounted gear shift, a center console, wooden
dash and plush black carpet. She also has dual racing mirrors, an
excellent matched set of radial tires and a telescopic steering
column; she also sports a beautiful stitched leather steering
wheel. In addition, the car is fitted with front disc brakes, a
factory heater and defroster and the convertible boot come with the
car.
