The Gr Auto Gallery is pleased to bring this 1963 Ford Galaxy 500
for your consideration. Powering this beast is a 302ci V8 crate
engine with only 100 miles on it. The V8 is paired with an
automatic C4 transmission. Also new under the hood is a four-barrel
carb and intake system upgrade, a new radiator, a dual master
cylinder upgrade, a new fuel-sending unit, and an electric fuel
pump, and all of the electrical components have been gone through
and checked. Up front, there is also an upgraded coil-over
suspension.
The body of the Galaxie looks great and is solid. The black paint
is complimented very well by the 5-spoke wheels finished in gun
metal grey. To match the exterior, you will notice the grey leather
upholstery which looks to have just been redone. The carpet in the
Ford also appears to have been recently replaced.
Ford Motor Company used names for cars that would spark interest
during the big space race. With names like Comet, Meteor, Falcon,
and Thunderbird, the name "Galaxie" was a perfect fit for the
full-size car. The Galaxie was produced from 1959 to 1974. The Ford
Galaxie was one of the most popular full-size automobiles of its
time and came in a variety of trims, body styles, and engine
options. Please call or email me with any questions or for
additional information.
