For Sale: 1969 Ford Thunderbird in Bristol, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This 1969 Ford Thunderbird Two-Door Landau is powered by a 429ci V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Power features include the steering, brakes, locks, driver's seat, and windows. Additional features include air conditioning, an AM radio, an overhead console with the Convenience Check Group control panel, bucket seats, and a center console. Finished in Morning Gold and equipped with a Dark Green vinyl top over an Ivy Gold vinyl interior, this reportedly rust-free Thunderbird is available now and comes with a clear Tennessee title in the seller's name.

According to the seller, the exterior is finished in the original factory-applied Morning Gold paint (code R). Features include chrome bumpers, hide-away headlights, a fender-mounted antenna, green side accent stripes, a manual remote driver-side mirror, a dark green vinyl top with "S" bars, and a rear trim panel with a hidden trunk lock. The seller states that when the engine is turned off, the headlights stay open.

A set of 15-inch black steel wheels with full Thunderbird hub caps is wrapped in 215/75 Hankook Optimo H724 whitewall radial tires.

The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in Ivy Gold vinyl (code 2G). Power features include the driver’s seat, steering, brakes, and windows. Additional features include a center console with an armrest and a storage compartment, a column-mounted automatic shifter, air conditioning, an AM radio, and woodgrain accents.

A 120-mph speedometer, a nonfunctional clock, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, alternator, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. A Convenience Check Group control panel in the overhead console contains reminder lights for fastening seat belts, the doors being open, the headlights being left on, and when the fuel level is low. The odometer reads 74,000 miles, which the seller states is accurate.

Power comes from a 429ci V8 and is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include blue valve covers, heads, block, and intake; a power steering cooler; and a closed-element air cleaner with a 429 Thunder Jet 4V decal.

This Thunderbird was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums.
