example of an iconic and rare Land Cruiser hard top convertible
with the rare rear half doors. A 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser KZJ73
left-hand drive European spec sold new on August 8, 1993. The Land
Cruiser was sold to the Fernseh Breuer-Thewald & Co. GmbH by
Kretschmer Toyota of Bruhl, Germany. The selling dealer serviced
this Toyota for first 3 years according to the Service Book. Car
Cave purchased this beautiful KZJ73 from a Monsieur Stephane
located in Perols on the southern coast of France. Since then we
have put plenty of miles on this LC and even drove it down to
Florida for the Amelia Island Concours.A 3.0L Diesel turbo diesel
powers this truck and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission
and a two-speed transfer case. The smooth running ultra-reliable
Toyota 1KZ-T is a 3.0L (2,982 cc) Single Overhead Cam indirect
injection turbo diesel. The front hubs are the always faithful
manual Aisin with push button 4-wheel high-range and a floor
shifted transfer case for low-range situations. This Cruiser had a
complete tear down respray by the previous owner in a Classic
Silver finish. The fiberglass removable FRP top, roll cage, and
glove box door were all painted in a contrasting gloss black.
Interior carpets grey carpet with cloth Grey Moon Mist interior
appears to be original to the automobile. Factory built options
include power locks, power steering, center console, power windows,
tilt steering wheel, manual idle speed, rear barn doors, rear
wiper, head lamp washers, digital clock, and rear defrost. The
factory Toyota altimeter inclinometer tilt gauge are still present
on the dash above the JVC KD-X230 Media Player playing music
through Sony speakers. Blackstar 265/70R16 mud tires provide a
smooth ride with aggressive off-road capabilities and wrap around a
set of aftermarket 16' black steel wheels. A full size spare will
be included with the sale upon buyers request. Service records,
manuals, history file, French technical control, factory Toyota
jack, and rubber caps will be included with the sale.The top is
removable and a factory integrated roll cage is found underneath.
Several suppliers do sell a soft top to make this a unique and
universal vehicle. In addition, the windshield folds down on to the
hood if you want a full throwback overlanding experience with the
