The exceptionally curvaceous body of the 1947 Ford Deluxe Coupe is
a great place to start for the full hot rod treatment. So when you
have a sleeker style, A/C interior, an overdrive transmission, and
plenty of V8 power, it makes for an all-around fun custom.
The all-steel body is instantly attractive for all the curves it
brings to the streets. The red paint is even a later upgrade so it
retains a nice gloss to showcase the arcs. You'll also want to
appreciate the custom details of this coupe. As a true street
machine, they deleted the bumpers, shaved the trim, added a flush
door handle, frenched the license plate, and added blue-dot tail
lights. This sleeker/cleaner style means the brightwork really pops
everywhere from the classic grille to the upgraded 18-inch Ridler
wheels.
The interior is both vintage and upgraded. The tweed cloth has a
classic look and a comfy feel. It goes nice with the two rows of
bench seats, and that's the kind of vintage layout that will have
you looking for drive-ins. And speaking of going places, upgrades
like the tinted windows and air conditioning make the journeys more
comfortable. Plus, the banjo-style steering wheel, tilt column, and
Dakota Digital gauges make for a nice driver's setup. If you're
looking for perfection, you may decide to restore the power
windows, upgrade the radio, or fully restomod the seats and setup.
But what we like is how this one currently provides the right mix
of classic style with some nice cruiser comforts already added
in.
Part of this true cruiser attitude is also rooted in the upgrades
under the hood. You have a clean and bright presentation of a 350
cubic-inch Chevy V8. It inhales deeply with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock aluminum intake, and it
exhales with a sweet tune out of the header-fed dual exhaust. It's
also supported by good features, like an HEI distributor and an
upgraded radiator with electric fan. It provides good power with a
strong delivery. And because this is a good all-around driver, you
have upgrades like a tubular A-arm front suspension, power brakes
with front discs, and a four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-ready overdrive.
This is a great custom cruiser from day one, and there's a lot of
potential to put your own personal stamp on this coupe, too. So
it's the right cruiser that you can truly make your own. Call
