This 1969 Pontiac Firebird is a nicely presented coupe that gives
you a nice color combo, an A/C interior, and a powerful 428 V8
under the hood. And as you look over the full package, you can
really see they paid attention to details to give you quite a
head-turning classic with head-snapping power.
Cameo White looks great on a '69 Firebird, especially because it
reminds us of a Trans Am. This one isn't trying to be a T/A
tribute, but it does like to give us hints of that attitude with
other features like the full-width rear spoiler. The full
impression you get from this one is that it is a thoughtful classic
made to drive. For example, the bright white paint draws added
attention to the tastefully contrasting black vinyl roof. This dark
and premium piece also goes well with the blackout rear panel and
the dark inserts in the grille. Ram air hood scoops, a chin
spoiler, and large dual exhaust tips add to the sporty attitude.
And we especially like the wheel. The first impression is just
classic Mag units. But as you get closer, you can see they are
modern alloys with a 17-inch size. It means you can fit better
tires, which is what a true driver's classic is about.
The blue interior is another reminder of the Trans Am color theme,
and we like it for looking distinctive. You'll also appreciate the
classic details like the headsets, working dome light, and premium
wood-like trim. It knows how to be a proper driver with front
bucket seats, a center console, and auxiliary readouts. The full
package is a clean driver-quality setup that makes it great for
cruising. The same goes for worthwhile upgrades like cold-blowing
air conditioning and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth.
Under the hood is the Pontiac's legendary 428 cubic-inch
powerhouse. You had to wait until the second generation to get
anything this large in a Firebird, so the displacement alone is
already a nice upgrade. This has nice details, like an Edelbrock
trio with an air grabber, valve covers, and intake. The V8 inhales
deeply with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with
added power and authority as long tube headers feed the H-pipe dual
exhaust. You'll also spot good supporting components like an MSD
ignition system and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.
The three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and rear KYB shocks are all part of the
package that makes for an all-around nice driving coupe.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and Pontiac
Historic Services (PHS) documentation. This is a well-equipped and
powerful coupe that loves to hit the road. Call now!
