The original VW Beetle's last year of sale in the U.S. was in 1977. However, VW continued to sell the Beetle convertibles until 1979. My Beetle is a Super Beetle Karmann sold in the last year of sales. It's engine is a fuel injected, air cooled, 48 h.p. 1600 cc. The fuel injection system is original and gives this Beetle extra power! It has a 4 speed manual transmission. The exterior paint is the original lemon yellow. The interior is tan. It has a black convertible top with a cover for when it is folded down. I have owned it about 6 years and used it frequently. Since owning it, the major improvements have been replacing the battery side floor pans and replacing the original gas tank. It has little rust and runs great. We no longer need a second vehicle and would like to sell it to someone who will continue to enjoy it.
