Vehicle Description
This 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 represents the final year
for the T/A. So it's great to find a well-documented two-owner
example that has the top-level motor and the best features -
including T-tops. And they also made the right investments in this
one to maximize the fun with an awesomely enhanced suspension and
extra power out of the fuel-injected V8.
This is a two-owner car with a long-term first owner and an average
of under 3,200 miles annually. So yes, it has been under proper
care. The Bright Silver Metallic is the factory application, and it
continues to have the kind of sleek shine that will earn this one a
nickname like The Silver Bullet. And we love the speedy details,
like the ram Air hood, wraparound rear spoiler, and polished quad
exhaust tips. There's even some proper power T/A appeal everywhere
from the bright 17-inch alloys to the classic Phoenix on the hood.
So while we'll get into the details about the recent big investment
in the motor and suspension in a moment, we also know you'll love
this for its clean, sleek, and aggressive style.
The black interior has a stylish look against the exterior's
shining silver, and it's also attractive just because of how loaded
it is. You get a ton of luxury features including leather
upholstery with a power driver's seat. The driver also gets a
grippy sports steering wheel with essential control built into it,
and beyond that are full gauges with a large speedo and tach. Plus,
there are power windows, power locks, cruise control, a tilt
steering column, power steering, a cup holder center console, and a
premium Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo with a seven-band equalizer. Beyond
just luxury features, a modern classic also means modern safety
with dual airbags and anti-lock brakes. The total package is a
driver-ready environment, and that seems right because you'll want
to enjoy this one any time of year. This even has the
ultra-desirable T-tops, and the cold-blowing air conditioning means
you get to stay open to the world long into the summer.
The 5.7-liter fuel-injected LS1 V8 was arguably the best motor for
all-around performance ever put into a Firebird, and the respect
they command today is the proof. The Ram Air WS6 means this was
born a 325-hp juggernaut. But when the second owner purchased the
car in 2021, he set out to make it even better with a claimed over
$20k in investments for added power and poise. It starts with
fortifying and enhancing the motor. This includes ported heads, an
Asylum Motorsports upgraded cam, a Smith Brother trunnion kit, a GM
Performance lifter set, Fel-Pro gaskets, ARP bolts, a high-volume
fuel pump, and a Powerbond harmonic balancer. This inhales deeper
with an SLP air intake, a Nick Williams 92mm throttle body, and
FAST intake. And this exhales with added power and authority as
headers feed into the updated exhaust. The package is claimed to
make 445 horsepower at the rear wheels! And since power is nothing
without control, the suspension was beefed up, too. There's a thick
BMR front sway bar, an Abe Spring custom driveshaft, a driveshaft
loop, and a strong torque arm. The rear has more BMR equipment like
the tubular arms, a Panhard bar, and a thick sway bar. You'll even
spot nice extras all around like newer bushings and Koni shocks
behind each wheel. The four-speed automatic transmission is now a
stout Level VI unit, the steering is a Masterpro rack & pinion
unit, and the four-wheel power disc brakes connect to Michelin
Pilot Sport tires for excellent all-around grip.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker and the
owner's manual. This car is powerful, loaded, upgraded, and quite
significant. That's what makes the whole deal irresistible. Call
