For Sale: 1953 GMC Panel Truck in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

This 1953 GMC Panel Delivery likes to be a true custom with plenty of fun and distinct details. So check out the two-tone paint, awesome interior, and upgraded V8 power.

We love the GMCs of this era because they have all the best features of the Advance Design era, like the curvy fenders, full running boards, and alligator grille. It only gets better in GMC form because they have a rarer kind of style, including a beefy-looking grille that's great on pickups. But there's much more going on here. The paint theme is a nicely intertwined two-tone. The light blue metallic loves to radiate in the sunshine as it shows off the main body. The black loves to highlight details like the fenders, grille, hood ornament, and crease in the body line. And we especially like how the two colors unite for the windshield sunshade. Plus, there are plenty of nice custom details, like the large dual exhaust tips, upgraded wheels, and LED headlights. Where you're going to find the most appeal out of the fit and finish right now is if you already have a purpose for this truck. You may just want something different to cruise in or maybe you want to put your business logo on the side and make a rolling billboard. But the overall idea with this is that it has a beautiful glow to attract attention but it never gets so uniquely custom that it takes away from the useful purpose it had on day one.

The interior has the right touches of vintage while also making the right additions. For example, the seats have the classic metal-back bucket style but they are now nicely recovered and have a center console in-between. And while you have the classic GMC steering wheel, beyond it is a full set of white-faced gauges - including a handy tach. Newer carpeting, provisions for air conditioning (will need servicing), stereo speakers, and a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with Bluetooth are all part of this cruiser style. Those large rear doors swing wide to make sure you have easy access to the fully furnished cargo area. It's so nicely done that it's ready right now for everything from a concert camp-out to a great way to showcase your product.

Under the hood is a later 350 cubic-inch V8. The motor inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power as shorty headers feed the dual exhaust. It makes for a good base motor, and it likely just needs some weekend tinkering to dial-in the kind of drive you want from a crate V8. The four-speed manual transmission is a proper truck setup where the first gear is a granny gear. That means you could be hauling a load of bricks in the back and this still has the right torque to get up and move (see what we mean about how this loves to remain useful?) And this is meant to be a proper cruiser with rack & pinion steering, front disc brakes, and an upgraded Mustang II-style tubular A-arm front end.

This panel delivery is a cool GMC that has plenty of custom style while never giving up the useful attitude. You may give it a tune-up, restore the A/C, add new tires, or other investments that make for an even more attractive worker. But it's all about delivering distinction and utility from day one. We know you already have a plan for this GMC, and now's the time to act. Call today!!!
