1937 CADILLAC MODEL 37-60 SPORT COUPE
Henry Martyn Leland founded the Cadillac Automobile Company and completed his first car on October 17, 1902. It was named for Le Sieur Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, the French explorer who had discovered Detroit. In January 1903, it was taken to the New York Automobile Show where orders for an astounding 2,286 cars were taken. What made the Model A Cadillac such a best seller was its refinement. The Cadillac "looked like a jewel from Tiffany's" when compared to the "machine shop look" of other autos at the show.
