Mechanicals
The 2006 BMW M3 has the optional ZCP Competition Package, which outfits the coupe with some of the performance upgrades from the coveted European-market M3 CSL, including 19-inch forged alloy wheels, larger Michelin tires, stiffer shocks and springs, a quicker steering ratio, upgraded brake pads and rotors, and a less intrusive M Track mode for the stability control system. This M3 has been extremely well maintained with full-service records and spends most of its time the garage.
Summary
The e46 M3 is loved by the press and their owners. The ZCP Competition Package is a $4000 option that gives you the bigger brakes and quicker steering from the M3 CSL, plus tweaked suspension and the M Track Mode version of BMW's Dynamic Stability Control. You also get 19-inch cross-spoke forged alloys all around, a race-face steering wheel trimmed in Alcantara suede, and aluminum trim. The ZCP M3’s command a premium because they are better than a base M3. This M3 was adult owned, extremely well maintained and all original except for the Rouge short throw shifter which does enhance the M3 driver experience.
