For Sale: 1966 Dodge Coronet in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This is a high quality, gorgeous convertible. Amazing colors- wheels/tires combo. I really should be asking at least $7,000 more! As I made the video, I realized this car is exceptional. Show quality throughout.

EXTERIOR: Outstanding body! Laser beam straight, the gaps are precise. No rust or damage. The bright red paint is polished like glass. You would have to look really close to find a flaw. It even feels slick like teflon. The jambs are slick and detailed. New weatherstrips. All the chrome and trim has been restored to show quality. Bright white power top. Our shop replaced the top cylinder and bled the system. We aligned the windows and repaired the regulators. The Magnum 500 wheels sparkle like new. They are wrapped in reproduction Wide Oval redline tires.

INTERIOR: Gorgeous pearl white bucket seat interior. The door panels, armrests, window cranks all look new. The dash area is mint, not cracked or cut. New glovebox liner. It's one of the nicest consoles I've seen in a Mopar, the chrome sparkles. The seats were recushioned and upholstered. Interior lights work. It has seat belts front and back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct 383 big block with a 4 barrel carb. All stock including manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner etc. All the components look like new- alternator, wiper motor, master cylinder, distributor etc. The washer bottle and pump are hooked up, battery is properly secured, horns are hooked up. It features power steering. Under the hood has correct insulation and rubber seal. The engine bay is clean metal painted gloss red, the original fender tag is still attached.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All clean dry metal painted gloss red. Well liner, weatherstrip and mat were replaced. It has a red line on a Magnum wheel for a spare.

UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension looks like it's been rebuilt. New shocks in the back. The fuel tank has been replaced. Original brake systems been rebuilt, e-brake is hooked up. Factory type dual exhaust system. Looking up at the motor its super clean, starter is new. The 727 Torqueflite automatic is clean. Floors, frame rails, rockers, even the lower inner quarters are all clean metal. It was cleaned and painted black.

This has it going on. Big block 383, buckets, console and a convertible. It would cost well over $100,000 to find a rust free car like this and bring it to this condition. It's a no brainer!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
