Vehicle Description
You're looking at a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute, but this
icon of American muscle has been brought into the modern age with
fuel-injected 572ci V8 power, an upgraded sports suspension,
four-wheel disc brakes, a beefy rear end, the control of a
six-speed stick, and so much more. And when this full power package
is wrapped around a custom/comfy interior and a beautifully
restored body, you know you're looking at the best of
everything.
You can instantly tell this coupe has something extra special. The
paint reminds us of some of the best blues from the Chevelle's
history, like Fathom Blue and Mulsanne Blue. So it looks right on a
classic, but the factory never gave you this kind of deep shine. It
does a terrific job of showcasing the straight lines, big chrome
bumpers, and great gaps that make this a cut-above classic. In
fact, we have been told this coupe was given a frame-off
restoration in 2011, but the total impression feels even younger
than that. It's because you have high-quality work with only
minimal signs of responsible enjoyment. And the blue is just the
beginning of the fun. There's an attractive white used for both the
racing stripes and premium vinyl roof. This makes for a sporty and
sophisticated collaboration that is absolutely irresistible. They
also made sure to give this the best of the muscle car era with the
cowl hood, hood pins, full SS badging, blackout grille, blackout
rear panel, and large dual exhaust tips. Plus, this has an upgraded
attitude with features like the chin spoiler, LED halo headlights,
and deeply tinted windows. And the 22-inch Forgiato wheels give
this an awesome modern stance while showing off the bright red
brake calipers. The result is a Chevelle that respects its history
but will also always be an instant standout.
There have been more big investments inside, and just like the
exterior, the idea is to mix premium vintage style with modern
performance upgrades. You see this best on the front bucket seats.
They are modern Procar units with a body-hugging bolstering you
could never get in the 1970s. But they also took the time to make
sure it keeps the Chevelle's classic insignia trim. The rear bench
and door panels are all finished in matching white vinyl and trim
for a uniform appearance. And everything from carpeting to dash has
a crisp presentation that's inviting. The driving music is upgraded
with a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input, Bluetooth, and modern
speakers. A true restomod also upgrades the driving experience. The
Billet Specialties steering wheel is on a tilt column, and beyond
that is the Dakota Digital gauge package with a blue backlight that
matches the blue glow of the LED lights under the dash. The Hurst
shifter is just calling out for your right hand, and the FiTech
module on the center console shows there's something extra special
under the hood.
The engine bay is filled with big block power. In fact, those red
valve covers within the shiny and tidy engine bay do an outstanding
job of announcing the 572 cubic-inch V8. While the monster
displacement is usually plenty for most of us, this one also has
plenty more. It's an awesome Merlin IV motor with aluminum heads,
an Edelbrock aluminum intake, and long tube headers feeding the
dual exhaust. The motor is then topped with a FiTech electronic
fuel injection system. So now you have big power and better
consistency. There are even the right supporting components, like
hydroboost brakes, a serpentine belt system, and an aluminum
radiator with dual electric fans. Best of all, the upgrade to a TKO
six-speed manual transmission puts you in the center of the action
for the big power and high-octane soundtrack. The undercarriage
photos show a tidy setup that includes terrific upgrades like
tubular A-arms up front, tubular control arms rear, coilovers on
both ends, and a modified Fab 9-inch rear. Plus, power steering,
Wilwood drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes, and sticky BF
ZR-rated tires complete a package designed to own the streets.
Here's a Chevelle SS tribute restomod that has taken everything to
the next level. You seriously will only be thinking about the
little things like making a working flap for the cowl hood or
restoring the air conditioning (it likely just needs a recharge.)
This is an absolutely awesome machine that's likely to win awards
on day one. So if you want the best of everything, call today!
