For Sale: 1952 Hudson Wasp in Chino Valley, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This 1952 Hudson Wasp has been repainted in its reportedly original colors and equipped with several new components, including the interior, clutch, and other parts. It is powered by a rebuilt 262ci inline-six engine backed by a rebuilt three-speed overdrive manual transmission. Refinished in French Gray and Toro Red over a two-tone taupe cloth interior, this Hudson is available now and comes with service records, a shop manual, a duster, and a clear Arizona title.

The exterior has been refinished in the reportedly original colors of French Gray and Toro Red. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, a chrome grille, a hood ornament, a roof-mounted antenna, a split windshield, dual mirrors, and a rear license plate guard. The seller states that the chrome is new and two of the doors need a firm push to close them.

The French Gray steel wheels with Hudson hubcaps and trim rings are wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

The new two-tone taupe fabric interior features manual windows, manual steering and brakes, a column-mounted manual shifter, a tan steering wheel with a chrome horn ring, refurbished faux woodgrain trim and window surrounds, a heater, and an AM radio. The seller states that the radio recently quit working and new emblems and new switchgear have been installed.

A 110-mph speedometer, a clock, gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature, and warning lights for the oil pressure and amps are located ahead of the driver. With 451 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 69,000 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.

Power is provided by the reportedly original and rebuilt 262ci inline-six and backed by a rebuilt three-speed overdrive manual transmission with a new clutch. The restored engine bay features a body-color firewall, vacuum windshield wipers, an oil-bath air cleaner, and a new wiring harness. Recent service includes a tune-up and fluids change about six months ago.

This Hudson was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drum brakes. A single exhaust outlet exits at the rear. The seller states that the car has been aligned and the suspension has been rebuilt.
