For Sale Incredible Near Pristine 1950 Ford Business Coupe (Platform Car, no back seat).
The car was restored about 10+ years ago – restoration was to stock and was done right and car stripped bare inside and out (see photos) – incredible condition. Black paint is beautiful – front and rear bumpers are beautiful. Interior is like new with recently rebuilt front seat – Trunk area is carpeted. Currently with the stock 6 cylinder flathead that runs fantastic – 3 speed overdrive Trans – stock rear end. Front grill 6 cylinder centerpiece has been replaced with the 8 cylinder centerpiece to fit with the project.
This is a rest-o-mod project to update and modernize the entire car into a safer, better, reliable and comfortable driver/show, car keeping the interior and exterior looking like a stock 1950 Ford Business Coupe as much as possible. It will be like a new 1950 Ford Business Coupe when finished. The price includes the following to complete the transformation:
Stock version 351W HO motor from S and J Engines, Spokane Valley WA – Electronic Dist. – Ceramic coated headers for this specific conversion – FiTech electronic fuel injection system with stock looking Ford valve covers and air cleaner, with decals for the “factory look” - Stock type Ford AOD Transmission and converter by Monster Transmission – Engine and trans painted Ford Oval Blue (valve covers powder coated) – Quick Performance Ford 9” rear housing, 31 spline axles and posi center section – New rear leaf springs – New fuel tank from Tanks Inc. – New HD Aluminum Radiator for Ford conversion – New upper and lower tubular control arms – Coil over front shocks – New front spindles – Disc Brakes front and rear – Power Steering – Old Air A/C and heat - Complete Serpentine set up for the motor with A/C, water pump and Alternator – New wiring kit to replace all the wiring to new – New 12v headlights – New 12v tail light, including chrome housings - New steering column with column shift and AOD indicator to look stock (ish) – Incredible custom Con2 steering wheel with stock looking 1950 Ford Horn Center piece – New replica 1950 Ford Radio with AM/FM/Bluetooth – Remanufactured and converted stock 12v clock – New Classic Instruments Stock looking instrument cluster (looks analog but it’s digital) - GPS Speedometer, so no cable to the transmission needed – Rear Deluxe Coupe functional side windows painted and ready to install - New door side windows and outside door handles, not needed but to be replaced during the project for car show points - several other items not listed but included. This is about a 90% - 95% bolt in project.
Note: the car runs and drives out nice but has an oil pan leak and just developed a radiator leak, it is a driver. Bars Leak in the radiator so I can drive it around, don’t care about the oil leak for obvious reason that the entire drivetrain coming out for the transformation to all modern running gear. The entire stock drivetrain could be sold to someone restoring a 1949 to 1951 Ford car.
The car has a clear title and a current California registration that expires June 2023.
