metallic over saddle tan cloth, this 99.9% rust-free ALWAYS
California sedan was just acquired from the proverbial little old
lady here in the San Francisco bay area with the original #2
license plate. The currently NON-working odometer shows just over
174,000 miles on this 35 year-old specimen which sports a great
running 114 horsepower 2.3 liter four cylinder engine mated to the
factory automatic transmission with other features that include
factory wheel covers, manual windows, original am/fm/cassette
stereo and the original owner's manual too. This all original gem
is being sold with a clean and clear California title! The exterior
of this 1988 Volvo is in 99.99% rust-free condition overall with a
decent shine to the paint finish with considerable fading on the
top surfaces along with typical nicks, dings and and other light
blemishes. Also the tires needs replacement. The cockpit of this
non-smoker 240DL is in good VERY original condition overall with
some wear on the upholstery, heat cracks on the dash with a few of
the plastic bits broken and cracked. The radio powers up but only
emits some static. This '88 Volvo starts easily and runs well with
decent power, minor exhaust leak, smooth shifting transmission,
responsive steering and fairly supple suspension. There is one
loose banging ball joint right front and the brake master or
booster needs service as the pedal goes down lower than ideal.
