This 1995 Porsche 968 is one of a reported 99 examples produced for the North American market with the M030 sport suspension package, and it spent time in New York, Michigan, and California through the current owner’s acquisition in 2022. It is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in black over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes 17″ Cup alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, Porsche Classic Communication Management, navigation, power windows and locks, and automatic climate control. The car was previously listed on BaT in January 2023, and it shows 75k miles. This 968 coupe is offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean California title.
The body is said to have been refinished in the current shade of black under prior ownership. Exterior details include pop-up headlights, fog lights, body-color mirror caps, a rear hatch spoiler, a rear window wiper, and black rear bumperettes. Dents are noted on the front fenders, chips are visible on the front bumper cover, and the rear bumper cover has reportedly been replaced. Damage is shown in a January 2012 entry of the Carfax report, which also lists “minor damage” to the rear in September 2014. The above listing photos and the majority of the images in the gallery were taken in January 2023.
The 17″ Cup alloy wheels show blemishes and are mounted with 225/45 front and 255/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. The car was equipped from the factory with the M030 sport chassis suspension option, which included Koni height-adjustable front struts and dampening-adjustable rear shocks, upgraded springs, a hollow front swaybar, and an adjustable rear sway bar. The package also added four-piston front brake calipers and four-wheel cross-drilled rotors.
The cabin features power-adjustable front bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Porsche-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, and Porsche Classic Communication Management with navigation. Fraying is present in the driver’s footwell carpeting.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter inline-four features VarioCam variable valve timing and was factory-rated at 236 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was last performed in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
