1985 GMC K1500 - 350ci V8 - Automatic Transmission - 4x4 - Southern Truck - Light Blue Exterior - Blue Interior Featured here is one very sharp truck, the kind so many songs are written about these days. Looking at this truck with its healthy lift and big tires we were reminded of the song by The Lacs with Nate Kenyon called Willie Nelson! This 1985 GMC K1500 has been treated to a very nice cosmetic restoration. This truck started as a clean southern truck and has been repainted the factory metallic light blue and the hobbyist level application presents very well with a nice luster. The rear bed has been coated with a spray on bedliner. The bed shows no signs of rust through but there are several dents typical of a truck that have performed their duty as designed. Bumper chrome and front grill appears to be new replacements and features the factory stainless side mirrors. As mentioned, this K1500 sports a nice lift, and the wheel wells are filled with chrome wagon steel wheels wrapped in oversized BF Goodrich All-Terrian T/A radial tires. Inside the blue interior has been lightly refurbished with new carpet, dash pad and seat upholstery. Options included a simulated leather wrapped steering wheel, tilt column, air conditioning and auxiliary fuel tank. The radio has been upgraded with an AM/FM radio with AUX and remote control and the dash features the full factory instrumentation. Under the hood sits a 350cid V8 and the engine compartment is clean and lightly detailed. A new Edelbrock Performer Carburetor with electric choke has been installed along with Accel high performance spark plug wires and a set of chrome valve covers add a little shine to the powerplant. A GM Turbo-Hydramatic 3-Speed Automatic transmission transfers the power through a manually shifted transfer case to front differential with locking hubs and heavy-duty rear axle. The suspension has a 4 lift with new Ranchero Skyjacker Shocks. The frame and floor pans are clean with no rust through. Power front disc brakes with rear drums and power steering augmented with a Skyjacker steering stabilizer add some ease to the trucks roll down the road. This GMC will look great rolling down the highway or parked somewhere off a country road with the tailgate down taking in some downtime with a few friends.
