For Sale: 1966 Chevrolet C10 in Nampa, Idaho

Vehicle Description

OVERVIEW

This 1966 Chevrolet C10 has accrued 1,600 miles since undergoing a frame-off restoration. It is powered by a 383ci Stroker V8 backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include Vintage Air climate controls, a relocated fuel tank, a hidden stereo system with a custom speaker box, power front disc brakes, power steering, and a newer Brothers Trucks pine bed floor. Finished in flat red with a pearl white cab roof over a black leather interior, this reportedly rust-free C10 is available now and comes with restoration photos and a clear California title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the frame-off restoration completed in 2010, the exterior was refinished in flat red with a pearl white cab roof. Features include re-chromed bumpers, a chrome grille, full-length side trim with white inserts, dual mirrors, a shaved cab-mounted fuel filler, a short fleetside bed with a newer Brothers Trucks pine bed floor, motorcycle tie-down brackets, and color-matched Rhino Linings bed liner material on the bed sides and tailgate.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch flat red Wheelsmith wheels with chrome center caps and lips is wrapped in 215/75 front and 235/70 rear whitewall radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bench seat is upholstered in black leather with diamond pleating and red stitching. Features include custom accent pinstriping, manual windows, power steering, power brakes, newer glass, newer wiring, Vintage Air climate controls, and Dynamat sound-damping material. Additional features include a custom rear speaker box with subwoofers, custom kick panel speaker pods, a black suede headliner and sun visors, a tilt steering column, a black and white 1958 Impala steering wheel, an under-seat stereo head unit, and a floor-mounted automatic shifter. The fuel tank has been removed from the cab and relocated to the frame.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of white-faced Mooneyes gauges, including a 140-mph speedometer with an integrated 8K-rpm tachometer, a clock, a dual-needle air tank gauge, and readouts for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage, is located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 1,600 miles, which reflects the mileage accrued since the restoration was finished.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a four-bolt-main 350ci V8 engine block that has been stroked to 383ci and is backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include an RV roller cam and rocker arm set, a balanced steel crankshaft, newer heads with stainless steel valves and hardened seats, pearl white valve covers and a Cadillac batwing air cleaner with red accent pinstriping, a polished aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, and a chrome alternator. Additional features include a serpentine belt-driven engine accessory system, tubular exhaust headers with high-temperature coating, an aluminum radiator, a polished aluminum coolant overflow tank, and dual electric fans. The seller states that all fluids were changed 200 miles ago.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevrolet was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. The chassis has been powder-coated and modified to accept an adjustable air suspension with two aluminum air tanks and two compressors, tubular front control arms, an Optima Redtop battery, and a rear axle clearance notch. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A full-length custom exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states the airbag increments range from 0 to 150 psi and recommends the front be set at 105 psi and the rear be dialed to 90 or 95 psi for the smoothest ride. They have posted videos below that show the air suspension in action and provided the following measurements for it:

Front - all the way down: 6.5 inches

Front - aired up to 110 psi: 8 inches

Middle - all the way down: 6 inches

Middle - aired up to 110 psi: 9 inches

Rear - all the way down: 9 inches

Rear - aired up to 110 psi: 17 inches

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The seller will include photos of the restoration as part of the sale.
