Vehicle Description
1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom
The Chevrolet Bel Air was an icon of the 50's. It started out as a
specific body style but just a few years after its introduction
became a unique trim level applied to multiple body styles. Based
on its trim tag this '54 Chevrolet was originally sold out of GM
Canada but has since been high customized. It is an older build and
all of the modifications work together to create a really unique
look. It has been nicknamed Moonglow due to its design which is
clearly inspired by the original "Moonglow" which is a famous
customized car. The 2 door hardtop body has been nicely chopped 6
inches and is coated in White paint. It has all been shaved
removing the door handles, trunk handle and front/rear emblems. It
does still wear its stainless side trim which has been modified
with a light Blue painted section on the rear fenders. This color
matches the custom pinstriping as well. The headlights are frenched
and it also has a custom tail light set up with pinstriped lenses.
Other nice customizations include the dual frenched antenna, custom
early Corvette grill, and spotlights. The chrome smoothie wheels
are wrapped in wide white wall tires and the rears tuck nicely
under the rear fenders with skirts.
The engine compartment features the same White/Blue theme as the
body with the radiator support, inner fenders, and firewall all
being painted White. Blue is incorporated through accents like the
painted horns and Moroso plug wires. The 350 V8 motor runs great
and is fitted with an Edelbrock Performer RPM carburetor, 4 barrel
carburetor, finned oil pan, braided lines, chrome air cleaner and
vintage M/T valve covers. Power brakes have been added and the
master cylinder with booster hidden is below the car. The
transmission is an automatic with column shift which moves through
the gears smoothly. Other nice upgrades include the air shocks.
The interior is done in Gray cloth with custom trim. It has later
model seats with folding headrests and seat belts. The dash is
painted all White and wears some of its original trim. The gauges
however have been modified to be all Dakota Digital including a
tachometer. Underneath the dash a custom billet panel was made to
house the Pioneer AM/FM/CD player, AC/Heat vents, and the Vintage
Air controls. The trunk of the car is all carpeted and provides
plenty of storage space and houses the spare.
This unique Bel Air has a great look and has had a ton of work
turning it into what it is today.
It could be yours for $29,900.00!
