Fun Italian 5-speed convertible in need of some TLC. For someone who loves these imported roadsters or always wanted one, this example would be a fun and functional project.
2-owner 1981 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with 80k miles. The current owner will pass along a detailed list of all work performed since purchased in 1984. Owner states it has always been garage kept and only occasionally driven since 2011.
Mechanically the twin-cam I4 runs, shifts, brakes and drives as it should.
The pigskin/tan leather interior is, overall, in good condition. Driver's seat bottom does have some seam separation and a small tear in the bolster. Carpet, dash and door panels are good and the factory wooden steering wheel is a nice touch. All gauges, switches and controls work as they should and the original Blaupunkt AM/FM/Cassette player is included (cassette is non-functional).
The #103 Ivory (Avorio) exterior paint retains its overall shine with good chrome accents. The tan convertible cloth top is in very good condition with no rips or holes and fits snuggly throughout the attachment points. The tan interior-colored soft top boot is included and in nice condition. Both front & rear black rubber bumpers are in good condition with no nicks or gouges.
The chassis and its components are in average condition and floor pans are solid. Lower portions of the front and rear valances and inner rocker panels need attention.
A matching set of 185/70R14 Michelin Rainforce MX4 tires with plenty of tread mounted to the factory aluminum wheels in average condition plus original full size spare on the same rim.
