This 1962 Chevrolet C10 is a restomod that appreciates details like
color coordination and sleekness. So it's a great truck to be seen
driving anywhere. And because you have fuel-injected LS-based V8
power, an overdrive transmission, and a custom/comfy interior, this
is a great truck to take everywhere. There's even an awesome growl
you can release on demand.
There's just something awesome about this generation of C10. Chevy
designed these with a large style line that hugs the hood and then
wraps around to run the full length of the profile. You can see it
so nicely here thanks to the way the modern metallic gray paint
loves to have a quality gloss that showcases the body lines. The
restomod's sporty style is also in upgrades like the custom
frenched tail lights, smooth tailgate, and 18-inch US Mags wheels
that sit on a sporty stance. And speaking of sporty, the red
streaks in the hood and within the side trim are distinctly
aggressive. There were even thoughtful details, like the little
strobe stripe finishing off the red at the rear. Some of the
upgrades even add extra substance while contributing to the modern
style. You see it in the liner paint of the steel bed and crystal
clear headlights with LED halos. So this is a custom pickup that
was made for driving, and that should be your overall impression.
After all, restomods are true cruisers that strike the right
balance of an award-worthy sense of style without crossing the
border of being too fancy to drive.
The hints of red on the outside get you ready for the bold red
package inside. A restomod means better comfort, and so you have
high-back bucket seats with the option of a jump seat middle or
fold-down armrest console. There are also shoulder belts, plush
carpeting, and cup holders. You also have provisions for air
conditioning and an upgraded stereo (they will need servicing.)
This is built to be a driver's truck. So have a sports steering
wheel on a tilt column, and that gives you an excellent view of the
gauges, including the well-integrated auxiliary readouts.
The engine bay makes sure the heart of this restomod is clean,
tidy, and instantly recognizable as something special. It's an
LS-based 6.0-liter Vortec V8. While these were fuel-injected right
from Chevy, this one inhales even better thanks to a Holley EFI
intake. It exhales with a nice set of headers into a MagnaFlow dual
exhaust. It's even supported by the right features like ICT Billet
accessory brackets and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. But
your favorite feature may just be the cutouts on the exhaust where
you press a button on your key fob and it unleashes a nice growl
whenever you want this modern fuel-injected powerhouse to have a
bit of an old-school muscle sound. The four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive, power steering, power brakes, front
discs, and trailing arm rear suspension combine for a great anytime
driving package. So feel ready to take this rumbling restomod to
more places.
Currently on a rebuilt/salvage title, this is the strong-running
restomod you can enjoy on trips near or far. So if you love driving
your classics, and being a trophy contender everywhere you arrive,
