Vehicle Description
This just-completed, beautifully turned-out Gen V LT1-powered 1970
Chevelle SS Restomod is now available from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh
Showroom. The last pass of the polishing cloth came in October of
2022 and the incredible finished product has since been driven only
23 test miles. The first element that catches the eye is the super
smooth Cranberry Red Paint. Other custom paint features include the
undercarriage coated with red bedliner for beauty and durability.
This Chevelle was built to be driven. You'll also notice that the
engine block and the transmission are painted to coordinate with
the Billet Specialties forged wheels. The Gen V LT1 direct injected
engine is the same unit that powers C8 Corvettes. It's further
fortified with a COMP cams Stage 2 cam and valvetrain. And it
exhales through a custom exhaust system with hi-flow cats, Borla
Pro XS mufflers, and heat wrapped tailpipes. The GM ECU is unlocked
to facilitate tuning and service. The result is an easy estimated
550 horsepower and an empyrean exhaust tone. Backing the motor is a
Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmitting the torque to a 3.73
geared 12-bolt Posi rear. Handling is updated with a Unisteer rack
& pinion steering setup with a Hotchkiss adjustable coilover
suspension front and rear. Wilwood provided the four-wheel disc
brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. A PSI wiring harness ably
handles all the electronic functions. The traditional trademark
Cowl Induction scoop is functional, while a subtle update is
flush-mounted Fesler glass all around. LED headlights give the car
a distinctive approach. A beautiful wood rim steering wheel is
mounted on a tilt column, and a classic Hurst shifter complete with
white ball is mounted on a center console between the original
style black vinyl bucket seats. Those staggered Billet Specialties
forged wheels mount Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 ultra performance
tires, 245/40R18 in front and big 305/35R20s in the rear. A premium
feel permeates the build with the highest quality components and
thoughtful details. This 1970 Chevrolet Chevell Restomod promises
to be a strong performer wherever you take it - on the street, the
track, or at the shows. Please be sure to see the detailed photos
