Superformance MKII Roadster SPS0040 is finished in classic
Wimbledon White with wire wheels and chrome accents. This early
production MKII is an ode to the vintage racers of the early
60s.
SPS0040 is powered by a Blueprint 306 small block and mated to a
Tremec 5-Speed transmission. The silver ceramic headers give this
lightweight MKII a smooth but powerful exhaust note. Additional
features include leather interior, bullet style side mirror, and
tonneau cover.
As with all Superformance MKII's SPS0040 has a Limited Slip
Differential and 4 Piston Wilwood Disc Brakes. As with the original
"Slab Side" cars, this roadster has period correct transverse leaf
springs to deliver an authentic ride similar to the original 1960s
models.
On the inside, SPS0040 has period correct Stewart Warner gauges
with the period correct dash. The doors are secured by original
style carriage style latches. All openings, such as engine bay,
trunk, and cockpit are wrapped around steel subframe for increased
strength and support. The dash is wrapped in leather, as are the
steel framed seats with period correct webbing for comfort and
aesthetics.
The Superformance MKII is a meticulously engineered and crafted
reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll
Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense is spared in recreating these
legendary cars, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.
SPS0040 is titled under California SB100 Smog Exemption with just
over 2,500 miles and is available for $134,950.
