Vehicle Description
This 1937 Chevrolet Cabriolet is the kind of neo-classic street
machine that was made to be both driven and shown. After all, the
fuel-injected V8, four-wheel disc brakes, and overdrive
transmission are perfect for hitting the road. Plus, the interior
is loaded with comfy amenities. And everywhere you arrive, the
design has the kind of sleek look from every angle to tell people a
true custom has come onto the scene.
The color is called Cinnamon Metallic, and that sets the tone
correctly for a car that's bright, spicy, and absolutely sweet.
There's only about 5,200 miles on the whole build, and the deep
gloss shine loves to highlight the curves of the swoopy fenders. In
fact, while this is a pre-war design, it's a modern fiberglass
build. It takes full of modern build practices by being as sleek as
possible with well-integrated running boards, shaved handles,
color-matched headlight bezels, and a smooth trunk. And we
especially love the front where the elimination of the bumper lets
the bright billet waterfall grille really take the center stage.
There are beautiful classic details like the creased style line in
the hood and well-fitting two-piece windshield. And the
fabric-covered tan hardtop has the look of a European level of
sophistication against the bold exterior paint. But as classy as
the little things are, you also get a total sense of a true street
machine with the wide dual exhaust tips and polished Torq Thrust
wheels that are correctly staggered for an awesome stance.
When you pop the key fob for the remote door openers it always
invites a crowd. And as they peek inside, you can show off a full
custom beige interior done in supple leatherette. Well-bolstered
front bucket seats, a matching rear bench, plush carpeting, and
custom door panels make this both stylish and comfy. You even get
to take the roof off and have an open roadster style whenever you
feel like it! There are also great modern features like power
windows and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing
to blow cold again.) Not only is all of this comfortable, but also
it's built to be a fantastic driver. The driver's seat power
adjusts to your ideal position and the wood-rimmed steering wheel
is on a tilt column. And we bet you'll love the look of the full
digital gauge package coming to life every time you fire up this
custom Chevy.
When you open the hood, the custom color-matched engine covers
reveal a cool motor upgrade. After all, the body may look like it's
from the 1930s, but the Chevy powerhouse here is from over 60 years
of progress. It's a 5.7-liter LT1 fuel-injected V8 borrowed from a
Corvette. The V8 fires up eagerly as a modern motor should, and
there's a nice set of shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust
pipes. The transmission is a 4L60E four-speed automatic that's
ideally paired with the motor for both smooth cruising and powerful
downshifts. Plus, this sits on a custom chassis with a tubular
A-arm front end and adjustable coilovers. Add in power steering,
modern performance tires, and four-wheel power disc brakes, and you
have a fine all-around driver.
You're looking at a package that's bold, powerful, and comfortable.
