Intent on establishing an evolved lineup of road cars, Ferrari
began the new millennium with a clean sheet both in terms of
styling and engineering when developing the Ferrari 360. Out went
the trademark side strakes and pop-up headlights of its
predecessors in favor of a curvaceous, streamlined body that also
served to increase downforce by as much as four times that of the
outgoing F355. Utilizing modern materials, this new platform was
able to offer a twenty-eight percent weight savings with a forty
percent increase in chassis rigidity over its predecessor.
Significant to these improvements, this is the first production
Ferrari to be constructed entirely in aluminum. Announced at the
1999 Geneva Motor Show, the Ferrari 360 has set the precedent for
future models to come, introducing new levels of comfort and
usability combined with the level of performance expected from the
esteemed Prancing Horse.
Equipped with the ever popular and rare gated six-speed manual
transmission, this Ferrari offers an engaging mid-engined driving
experience, one of the very last Ferrari models to feature such
with three-pedals. With the electronically operated Dark Blue
convertible top retracted, passengers are treated to the
uninhibited naturally aspirated exhaust note produced by the
3.6-liter V8 engine. Proudly offered in Spider configuration, this
Ferrari allows for open air enjoyment at a mere 130 pound increase
over the Modena thanks to the technologically advanced chassis that
is paired with full independent suspension and Continuous Damper
Control.
Offered in excellent overall condition, this 360 Spider is finished
in special-order Giallo Modena paintwork, a stunning triple layer
color accented by optional Modular wheels with red brake calipers
and painted grill covers. Complementing beautifully, the interior
features unusually rare and gorgeous Dark Blue leather with power
adjustable Daytona seats with contrasting stitching, Giallo Modena
inserts, and embossed prancing horse headrests in yellow. Executed
in June of 2022, this vehicle was treated to a cam belt service,
new fuel pumps, Catalyst temp ECU and much more recently completed
by F1 Imports. A particularly low mileage example, this is an
excellent opportunity for a Ferrari collector looking to acquire an
investment grade 360 Spider.
