This 1991 Ford Mustang GT proves it's worth your attention just by
the fully-built turbocharged V8. And everything from the manual
valve body shifter to the big cowl hood makes this feel like a Pro
Street kind of coupe. But before you go thinking this is a pure
quarter-mile machine, take a moment or two to see the level of fit
and finish inside and out that proves this power pony enjoys being
an all-around stylish coupe.
It's easy to recognize that you're looking at something special.
This was born a white coupe, but there has been a recent respray
that gives it a pearlescent glow for even more attention every time
it finds the sunshine. But the nice radiance never tires to hide
the true mean machine. This fastback has a Cobra body kit,
including ground effects and a special rear spoiler. Plus, the hood
has a huge power dome. And this pony car lives to show its dark
horse side with a well-coordinated black in the smoked headlights,
smoked tail lights, deeply tinted windows, and upgraded 18-inch
wheels. The result is a car that's sharp and clean but also ready
to own the asphalt.
This is built to be a power car, but it's not just some racetrack
machine. You see this balance in the way the interior is presented.
It forgoes weighty items like air conditioning. But it also doesn't
strip out the full comfortable package. You have a well-presented
fully furnished interior that has nice details like a smooth dash,
an armrest center console, a nice headliner, and power lumbar
adjustments for the front bucket seat. Plus, there's an upgraded
sound system with an AM/FM/CD stereo featuring Bluetooth and a USB
input. And while comfortable, you also have a driver-focused
package. The factory readouts are supplemented by gauges mounted on
the A-pillar and you know that Hurst ratchet shifter means serious
business.
The engine bay is easily recognizable as different from a stock
Mustang because you instantly see the custom headers feeding the
big turbocharger on the left side. But there's a lot more to this
big power package. We're told the famous 5.0-liter V8 is now a
347ci stroker fuel-injected motor. Plus, it has a Trick Flow intake
and a polished throttle body. There are the right additions you
want on an upgraded coupe like this, including an MSD ignition,
stainless lines, a deep sump oil pan, and a separate trans cooler.
The manual valve body on the three-speed transmission means you are
in firm control of this turbo pony. There are more nice upgrades
underneath, like newer front control arms, tubular rear arms, newer
bushings, a Trick Flow rear diff cap, and subframe connectors. And
the lowered suspension, power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and grippy modern tires, and you can see how this whole package
knows how to be a power car that still keeps a touch of proper
cruiser.
Complete with Marti Report, this is a sharply-presented custom
power build. So if you love a cool turbo coupe, call today!
