With enhanced power from the V8, an upgraded sporty style, and the
overall appeal of a pony car fastback, this 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2
is quite an appealing icon.
The first-gen Mustang is legendary, and this one loves to pay
tribute to some of the best out there. The hood scoop is a nice
Shelby GT350 piece. The deleted badges from the grille and sides
reminds us of the Bullitt Mustang. And the set of trumpeted dual
exhaust tips mounted through the rear valance is a great GT piece.
Plus, this one likes to have its own level of distinction. You see
it everywhere from the added metallic glow in the maroon paint to
the upgraded Vision wheels. It all makes for a total package that
delivers a road-ready icon with plenty of memorable
distinction.
The black interior looks tasteful against the maroon, and it's also
quite inviting. Good upholstery, plush capering, clear gauges, and
an overall clean style give you a quality feel. And as a fastback,
you want your pony car to be sporty. So while this is not an
overbearing performance mod machine, you do get an extra tingle
from your enthusiast's senses when you grip the wood-rimmed
steering wheel and spot the classic under-dash auxiliary
readouts.
The engine bay really shows off the heart of this Mustang's appeal.
It's exceptionally attractive with glossy blue block paint,
polished Ford Motorsport valve covers, tidy wires, and more. At the
center is Ford hardy 289 cubic-inch V8. Since these love upgrades,
it's great to see this with added power from the Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, a Weiand aluminum intake, HEI distributor,
and long tube headers feeding into the dual exhaust and Flowmaster
mufflers. This was built to give you the right kind of old-school
power car feel, right down to the rear traction bars. But the
three-speed automatic transmission and wide Cooper Cobra tires also
give this true cruiser appeal.
You may feel like upgrading details like the radio or brakes for an
even more ideal cruiser, but you can already see how irresistible
it is to find a first-year pony car fastback with this level of
sharp style and added power. It's why you can't stop thinking about
this mustang and you'll always regret it if this is not in your
garage. Call today!!!
