Vehicle Description
This 1986 Chevrolet Corvette is a coupe that has been given the
right care to have a well-aged vintage style. And that means this
V8-powered sports car makes for quite a nice all-around
value-priced classic.
You know the kind of car that you just can't forget even after you
sell it... This is that kind of two-tone classic. It has changed
hands four times but to only three people. The second owner sold it
to a friend, and he then bought it back! So the second/fourth owner
has given this long-term care by being - in total - the caretaker
for about half of its life thus far. We understand why you'd keep
wanting this car. It's a factory white and gray two-tone. It's
something we rarely see today, but it has the right look of
sophistication you want on a distinct classic. It was even
resprayed later in life to make sure it continues to look good. The
headlights rest flush, the panels fit well, and the factory alloys
are clean - all the right look of a well-respected car.
We know you'll be taking the targa top out on this one. The gray
interior harmonizes nicely with the exterior color theme, and so it
amplifies this Corvette's upper-class style. The seats were even
reupholstered with comfy velour inserts, so it's great to hop into
this one even if you're wearing shorts on a sunny day. The other
reason to keep this open to the world is because it's nice to share
such a time capsule style. Even the full courtesy light package
greets you when the doors open. But just because this looks
preserved doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy it. It has a proper
driver-ready quality to the overall impression, and it's loaded
with the best features. You have power windows, power locks, cruise
control, and the factory Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo with Bose
speakers. And it's a true driver-oriented package with the six-way
power driver's seat, low-spoke steering wheel, tilt/telescopic
steering column, and an impressively crisp look to the distinct
digital gauge package.
The L98 350 cubic-inch V8 is a great motor. It gave you the hardy
reputation of the small block with the added desirability of the
excellent Tuned-Port Injection system. This has the stock looks of
a driver's car, and so it fits with this coupe's overall theme. And
speaking of good drivers, you'll notice in the build codes that
this has the Z51 sports suspension. It's an option that's mostly
about adding distinction and rarity today, but we still bet you'll
appreciate it when you take full advantage of the C4 Corvette's
fully independent suspension. Add in the versatile four-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, and four-wheel power disc
brakes, and you're going to certainly enjoy driving this
classic.
Complete with a Chilton's manual, this is a memorable two-tone C4.
You may decide to do some updating, like servicing the power
windows or restoring the air conditioning. But when you have a
chance at such a distinct Corvette at such a value price, you know
you're going to want to become the fifth owner (and maybe the
seventh, ninth, etc.) Call today!!!
