This 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster custom convertible is
finished in triple black Raven paint with a matching black interior
and convertible top. It received a professional frame-off
restoration by M&K Restorations in 2018 with only 400 miles
driven since the restoration was completed. It is powered by a Ford
6.4-liter 390ci V8 engine mated to the Ford Cruise-O-Matic
automatic transmission. The engine was rebuilt by Ramjet
Performance Engines using the original number matching block and
features rebuilt Ford racing billet aluminum pistons, aluminum cam,
aluminum heads, aluminum water pump, and many other performance
upgrades. The engine now puts out over 430 HP versus the original
300 HP. This example was taken down to bare metal and
professionally painted in the correct original factory color Raven
Black. All major mechanical systems were professionally
restored/rebuilt including the engine, transmission, and
convertible top system. All new interior and convertible top. All
exterior chrome trim, bumpers, grill, bezels, and engine trim was
professionally re-chromed. It also retains its original factory
fiberglass tonneau cover, Original Kelsey Hayes chrome wire wheels
and factory Sports Roadster special badges. The entire drivetrain
was rebuilt including new suspension, brakes, and exhaust. It has
new Coker wide white wall tires, a Tilt-a-way steering wheel, AM/FM
and Bluetooth radio. This completely rust-free vehicle having spent
its entire life in Southern California and Phoenix, Arizona only 3
owners since new. There are over $135,000 in detailed receipts
spent on the restoration.
