Vehicle Description
This custom 1973 GMC Jimmy 4x4 Resto-Mod has had a frame-off
restoration and is highly customized. This beautiful Jimmy is
powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine making over 500hp,
backed by a 6L80E automatic 6-speed transmission with an NP205
transfer case for the 4-wheel-drive system. This fuel-injected LS3
V8 engine features a list of upgrades that include aluminum heads,
hydraulic roller cam, nodular iron crankshaft and hypereutectic
pistons, ceramic-coated Schoenfeld headers, a Dirty Dingo
serpentine system, a Vintage Air system and a custom Be Cool
aluminum radiator. The chassis has been media-blasted and has a
Satin Black powder-coat finish. It sits on custom-made 18-inch
Curtis Speed 8-lug Rally wheels wrapped in new 35-inch BFG K02
tires. It features 8-lug Dana 44 axles, Yukon gears, a 4-inch
suspension lift and GM heavy-duty Hydro-Boost brakes. The chassis
is finished off with a stainless exhaust tied with MagnaFlow
mufflers finished with polished stainless-steel tips. The body has
been painted in PPG Hugger Orange metallic and white and trimmed
out with OE-style moldings and new chrome bumpers. Nearly every
part on this truck has been restored or replaced with new parts.
The fully removable hardtop has been refinished with color-matched
Raptor liner, inside and out. The interior is trimmed out in German
square-weave carpet. The original seat frames have been
media-blasted and refinished and upholstered with factory Orange
Plaid Highlander material, trimmed with OEM white vinyl. The
factory center console has been restored and matches the new black
dash. The custom-made rear quarter-panels have been finished with
matching OEM white vinyl and Highlander plaid. The interior is
fitted with a factory roll bar, shoulder belts and rear lap belts.
The interior also features Dakota Digital gauges. The stereo is
powered by and OE-style Retrosound Bluetooth radio, 5-1/4-inch
Kicker speakers in custom-made kick-panel pods, two pairs of 6x8
Kicker speakers in the rear quarter-panels and two 10-inch Kicker
subs. It is powered by two amps mounted nicely under the rear seat.
