Vehicle Description
Debuted at the March 1963 Geneva Salon, the dashing new
Mercedes-Benz 230SL was internally designated "W113" and it
replaced both the 300SL and 190SL, establishing a new
single-platform sports car policy for its maker. A true sporting
icon in stock form, the 230SL offers an entirely new experience
with select updates for enjoyment in today's driving conditions.
Staying true to its heritage, this custom 1964 Mercedes-Benz 230SL
was restored and upgraded to M-SL specification by Mechatronik, the
noted Mercedes-Benz specialists. Among the comprehensive updates,
this 230SL now features a complete high-performance drivetrain
sourced from a modern Mercedes-Benz CLK 430, including a 275 bhp
4.3-liter V8 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. A standout
in red paint over matching red leather upholstery and carpeting,
this 230SL is highly equipped with air conditioning, power 4-wheel
disc brakes, power steering and power windows. Consistent with the
rest of the vehicle, the 4.3-liter V8 engine features body-color
factory engine covers for a clean, top-quality look. A
factory-appearing exhaust system with twin outlets delivers a
throaty note and, as desired, a classically styled digital AM/FM
stereo head unit includes AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. In
addition to a factory-style tachometer and upright instrument
cluster, this revitalized SL features an updated speedometer
housing a digital odometer and trip odometer. Other highlights
include front and rear bumper guards, show-quality chrome and
brightwork, a body-color top-boot over, gorgeous Gunmetal-finish
5-spoke alloy wheels and Michelin high-performance radial tires.
Delivering a fabulous driving experience with performance
capabilities far beyond original specifications, this 1964
Mercedes-Benz 230SL by Mechatronik is a captivating blend of
classic styling and modern performance, making it ideal to enjoy on
your favorite stretch of road with the top down.
