Vehicle Description
After the iconic 1966 win at Le Mans, the GT40 was forever destined
to be a legend in the history American performance cars. It wasn't
until 2005 that Ford revisited this hallowed territory with the
release of the 2005-06 Ford GT celebrating the 100th anniversary of
Ford. This one-owner 2005 Ford GT is one of 2,022 built for the
model year and is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine
paired with a Ricardo 6-speed manual gearbox and a helical
limited-slip differential. This example is one of 265 finished in
Midnight Blue over Ebony leather and features all four factory
options available, which consist of the McIntosh sound system, BBS
forged alloy wheels, painted gray brake calipers and the full
racing stripe package. The 2005 Ford GT incorporated many of the
original's signature engineering and design cues, including the
hood-ducted radiator air flow, doors that cut into the roof and
functional air-intake scoops in the rear quarters. The cockpit is
trimmed in Ebony leather, and rubber mats cover bare aluminum
floors. Manually adjusted seats were designed by Sparco and feature
carbon-fiber shells with GT40-style ventilation grommets and
harness slots. Accompanied with the sale are the original Window
Sticker, original owner's manual, Ford information and welcome
sheet, car cover and two keys.
