Vehicle Description
This 1948 Mercury 4-door station wagon is one of two with the
Marmon-Herrington 4-wheel-drive conversion, and one of 1,889
Mercury wagons produced for 1948. It is powered by a 255ci V8
engine mated to a 3-speed transmission with overdrive. This vehicle
previously resided the Richard Adams Collection in Illinois. The
wood was restored by Nichols Wood Restoration, and this wagon rides
on new Dayton tires. From the Boyd Collection.
