Vehicle Description
This one-of-one 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SCJ has received a
high-quality, comprehensive restoration. It is powered by a 429ci
Super Cobra Jet engine mated to a 4-speed close-ratio Toploader
transmission, one of 556 of these Mustangs with this option. It is
equipped with a nodular cased 9-inch differential with 31-spline
axles, 4.11 gears and a Detroit Locker unit. It rides on Drag Pack
staggered rear shocks, a competition suspension, quick-ratio power
steering, power front disc brakes, Magnum 500 wheels with F60x15
raised-white-letter tires and an inflatable spare. Other options
include front and rear spoilers, dual color-keyed sport mirrors,
sport lamp grille, factory tachometer with full gauges, AM 8-track
radio, fold-down Sport Deck rear seat and tinted glass. This car is
one of 19 finished in Grabber Lime paint with black Mach 1 accents
and one of three with a deluxe white interior. The engine bay,
underside and trunk are all detailed and speak to the quality of
the restoration. This car is from the last production year of the
big-block Mustangs. Included in the sale is a copy of the Window
Sticker and Elite Marti Report, along with manuals, records and
receipts.
