Vehicle Description
This custom 1949 Ford Tudor 2-door sedan was a South Dakota car
that was turned in to a mild custom between 1995 and 2013. The
build was done with all Ford parts; only proven-quality parts were
used. The drivetrain includes a fresh 302ci Ford small-block engine
with an Edelbrock aluminum performer intake and a 4-barrel
carburetor. A Proform HEI distributor was used, and an early C4
automatic 3-speed transmission was added, as was an 8-inch Ford
rear end with a 3.00 gear. The front brakes received a 7-inch dual
master cylinder, power booster and disc brake kit. A full set of
15x7 chrome baby moons wheels were chosen and a small whitewall
radial tire combo to get that back-to-the-50s look. The body
received a new Bahama Blue base coat paint job, then the original
trim was redone, polished and the bumpers rechromed. The interior
was redone completely with gray vinyl and tweed cloth, and seat
belts were added for safety, as well as an AZ Speed electric wiper
motor. All glass was replaced.
