This is one of 7,719 built in 1953. It is an original woody. Restored by legendary wagon master David Doyle. This car was restored to high standards and was completed last year. Since the car was completed it has appeared in two concours events and won Best in Class on both occasions. Mr. Doyle started with a clean, rust-free car from a long term owner and set out on a comprehensive restoration. The car is presented in an original Mercury color of India Black but was born green. The interior is presented in red and white. All of the folding seat mechanisms are correct and fully functional. All of the gauges work and are restored to the same standards as the rest of the car. The engine bay is gorgeous with a high level re-detailing completed just in the last few weeks on an already immaculate compartment. The undercarriage is also spotless, completing the presentation of this rare car.
