Vehicle Description
It's a great time to be a Mustang fan at RK Motors Charlotte! Over
the past few months, we've watched a roster of thoroughbred ponies
trot through our doors. And, increasingly, that stock is
transitioning from historic, numbers-matching showpieces to slick,
fully-sorted resto-mods like this razor-sharp fastback.
Immaculately detailed and ready to rumble, this awesome coupe is
the beneficiary of a professional rotisserie restoration that
transformed a stylish weekend warrior into a first class bruiser.
And, thanks to a dual-quad 427, a proven Ford driveline and stylish
red and black aesthetics, it'll keep you smiling all day long.
Looking for a highly desirable muscle car that can provide years of
open road fun? Time to celebrate the unrelenting swagger of old
school Motor City muscle!
QUINTESSENTIAL FORM
Fully sorted and ready to roll, this striking Mustang resto-mod is
the beneficiary of a professional rotisserie restoration that's
lived in climate controlled storage since its completion. That
excellent reboot reflects beauty in the form of vivid red
two-stage. And that two-stage looks especially fetching under
traditional Mustang top stripes and a roster of tailored details.
At the front of the car, a bright chrome bumper guards a billet
grille, which stretches silver-trimmed driving lamps between
stainless-trimmed headlights, subtle parking lamps and a raked chin
spoiler. Behind that bumper, a timeless profile centers classy Ford
Eagle badging amid factory door handles, buff quarter scoops and
body-matched sport mirrors. Those mirrors reflect a
stainless-trimmed greenhouse between polished wipers, a Mach
1-style hood and Satin Black Sport Slats. And at the back of the
car, a second chrome bumper guards an ornate fuel filler, segmented
taillights and a "M U S T A N G" branded decklid that's dressed
with a Satin Black wing.
HEART OF THUNDER
Angle the hood and you'll find 427 cubic inches of legendary Ford
power that mixes killer aesthetics with a massive 560 horsepower! A
bright, Eagle-branded air cleaner marries fresh oxygen with a
steady stream of fossils that drops through not one, but two
vintage Holley 4-barrels. Both air and fuel make their way from a
big tunnel port intake to storied NASCAR tunnel port heads that
have been fully ported and polished. Those heads float mirrored
valve covers between a polished oil cap and loomed Accel Hi-Temp
Super Stock wires. Those wires cap a quality MSD Pro-Billet
distributor, which is fired by a hot MSD Blaster 2 coil. Billet
pulleys spin an aluminum water pump beside a polished alternator.
Spent gases are jettisoned through coated long-tube headers. And
overall, the car's sedate, Satin Black engine compartment is
exceptionally well done, featuring ancillaries like a deep-sump oil
pan, a polished SSBC master cylinder, an Autolite battery topper
and Autolite-branded hoses.
BORN TO RUN
The bottom of this awesome Mustang is just as impressive as its
slick exterior and tidy engine bay. Behind the mean motor, an
aluminum flywheel kicks a Toploader 'Big Spline' 4-speed, which
turns a requisite 9-inch pumpkin that's built with 3.50 gears, a
posi-traction differential and 31-spline axles. That proven
drivetrain pushes a traditional Ford suspension that's upgraded
with lowering blocks, a rear sway bar and tubular subframe
connectors. At the corners of that kit, red calipers, SSBCs up
front, squeeze a quartet of discs, drilled and slotted up front.
Exhaust is managed by large, true-dual pipes, which snake through
great sounding Flowmaster mufflers and polished stainless tips that
thread a Mach 1-style roll pan. And power rolls through 17-inch
American Racing Shelbys, which spin 215/60 Hankook Kinergy PTs in
front of 255/60 Hankook Dynapro HP2s.
VINTAGE STYLE
Pop the doors and you'll find a tasteful Black interior that,
installed to factory specifications, is both attractive and
well-rounded. Pleated buckets provide comfort for four lucky
passengers. A dressed dash hangs a full suite of rebuilt telemetry
above a retro direct-fit radio that bumps big Jensen speakers. A
sculpted console frames a polished Hurst shifter. Fade-free carpet
crawls past crack-free side panels. And the driver carves curves
through a polished and wood-rimmed steering wheel.
There's only one problem with this awesome Mustang: if you want it,
everyone else will too. Well-done resto-mods have become some of
our fastest sellers as more and more enthusiasts discover the
thrill of taking their dream cars to the street. With its classic
good looks, thoroughly upgraded mechanicals and great restoration,
this Ford's appeal is universally strong. Call, click or visit
