Vehicle Description
This 1968 Ford Mustang fastback has the classic power pony style,
right down to the bold red paint, four-on-the-floor, and an
enhanced version of the numbers-matching 302ci V8. And the full
package has the kind of superior flair that only comes from paying
attention to the details. So it knows how to be memorable from the
moment it arrives.
Mustangs look terrific in red, and since this was a later upgrade
and a quality application, you'll love the way the gloss helps
highlight the sleek silhouette of the desirable fastback body. The
white C-channel stripe looks sporty and showcases how straight the
body panels are. This one also gets the details right. There are
premium touches like the exceptionally shiny brightwork and the
deluxe hood with integrated turn signals. Plus, there's plenty of
performance attitude with the GT badging, fog lights in the grille,
GT gas cap, and quad tailpipes. And we love the classic mag 500
wheels with raised white letter tires. Even the way the doors close
with confidence makes this the kind of iconic classic that you can
drive with pride.
The crisp interior black looks good against the bright red
exterior. Nice upholstery, plush carpeting, and a smooth dash make
this inviting. They even upgraded the radio to a retro-style AM/FM
stereo for the best on modern driving music. And this is certainly
meant to be a driver with front bucket seats, a grippy sports
steering wheel, and upgraded Hurst shifter. You probably won't take
too many passengers in the rear, and so that space is more about
being impressive for its vintage details. That includes the
fold-down rear seat (cannot fold all the way down currently due to
the aftermarket speakers) and panel light that shine brightly to
greet the open doors.
The engine bay has a clean and tidy style where you can easily spot
all the upgrades. This includes the polished Edelbrock valve
covers, an Accel Super Coil, and Taylor Pro wires. At the heart is
a 302 cubic-inch V8 that inhales deeper with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Best
of all, this is still the numbers-matching block, and so you've got
a nice balance of true history and true power. You have complete
control over the enhanced V8 and its intoxicating soundtrack thanks
to the four-speed manual transmission. Out on the streets, you have
the right components for a nice cruiser, like power steering and
wide Cooper Cobra tires. But it's also nice that this still gives
you a feeling for the road like only a true classic can.
This numbers-matching fastback has a great look and a terrific
performance attitude - exactly what you want in an iconic classic
Mustang. So don't let a total package like this slip away. Call
