Vehicle Description
Imagine the exhilarating feeling that can only come from climbing
behind the wheel of one of the most powerful American production
cars on the road. This 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ Convertible
packed with the coveted Z07 Performance Package can provide exactly
that. Having logged just 15,822 miles, it's relatively
low-travelled for a sports car this insanely fun to drive, and by
every measure it's an absolute scorcher - offering
adrenaline-inducing acceleration and handling that puts it with
very select company among exotics. With a 6.2L Supercharged LT4 V8
mated to an 8-Speed Paddle-Shifter Automatic, the drivetrain boasts
650HP of break-neck responsiveness on road and track alike, paring
with the modern marvels of the Z07 performance suspension and
gigantic Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. Clean as can be with enough
power for two sports cars, this C7 Stingray represents one of the
best 'bang-for-your-buck' vehicles you'll ever come across, so read
fast before anyone else gets wise.
The notion that you're casting eyes on a very special car will
appear right away - even in the exalted company of modern Corvettes
this one will readily stand out, and you'll want to immediately
take a closer look at this stunner to fully appreciate the showroom
condition that it's in. Its Fusion Gray Metallic exterior is a bit
of a mouthful to say, and even more sensory arousing once you see
it dance with the lights in our showroom. Even 7 years later the C7
design seems futuristic, with homage-setting Mako Shark concepts
seen throughout, working hard to shed its former image as the "old
man's toy". The C7 appealed to a younger crowd with features like a
carbon-fiber hood and Transformer's style scoop, Carbon-Flash chin
spoiler and ground effects, a tall carbon-fiber rear wing, dynamic
fenders and quarters made from composite materials, and the
uber-aggressive rear end with quad exhaust pipes. Everywhere you
look you can see that this Stingray was sculpted inside a wind
tunnel, with all kinds of interesting angles, inductions, and
grooves that accentuate the insanely exciting lines of this
gorgeous beast. That distinctive gunmetal-gray paint is still
looking its best and black carbon fiber accents provide just the
right amount of contrast, punctuated by the LeMans-style stripes
down the center and blacked-out Z06 aluminum wheels. And whether
the black power convertible top is on or off, this beauty looks
like a million bucks.
The Kalahari and Jet Black leather-and-suede upmarket interior
waiting inside the doors is about as clean as interiors come - this
Vette's light usage has definitely paid dividends. This is an
unusually comfortable driving environment for any car, let alone
one that offers the world class performance of the C7. The steering
column both tilts and telescopes and the ultra-clean and
distinctive leather-and-suede buckets glide smoothly into place to
provide just the right comfortable driving position, and there's a
surprising amount of shoulder room inside - far more than many of
the Vette's exotic competitors. The air conditioning is working at
full force for maximum comfort and the featured navigation system
will point you exactly to where you're going - and no doubt you'll
be able to get there at warp speed. There'll certainly be no
shortage of audio options, either - the AM/FM/DVD premium stereo
also features satellite and Bluetooth connectivity, along with a
back-up camera that runs through the same media center. A host of
digital gauges keeps an eye on the motor and all of its upgrades,
and the center console houses the shifter for the 8-speed automatic
transmission which can also be managed via the paddle-shifters
behind the steering wheel. The 3LZ options list is a mile long,
just know that pretty much anything invented by 2016 is in this
car, and the combination of carbon-fiber inlays with all that black
and Kalahari leather and suede is downright sexy inside. And as you
might expect in a car with so few miles, everything is incredibly
clean and barely shows any use, including the trunk.
Chevy has gone to great lengths over the decades to arm its
Corvettes with world class powerplants, but when this 2016 Z06/Z07
Package hit the streets, everyone was impressed (even the snobs
across the pond). Unreal performance comes from a supercharged
version of the 6.2 liter LT4 V8 used in lesser Corvettes, and it
cranks out 650 horsepower and 650 pounds of torque. Yes, it's
legit. This is more car than you can use anywhere on surface
streets and I'm not sure what else can run with it, especially at
this price point. You'd certainly have to spend a lot more money to
go incrementally faster. The LT motors are practically bulletproof,
with the Z06 being specifically bred for the track and the Z07
Package taking things to the stratosphere with all kinds of
upgrades designed to improve reliability and durability under
stress. There are coolers for the oil, transmission, and rear end,
gigantic Brembo carbon-ceramic disc brakes at all four corners, and
a performance suspension that claws so hard at the pavement that it
might dislodge chunks of asphalt. It scorches 0-60 in an
eye-popping 2.95 seconds, the quarter mile in a hair under 11
seconds, and pulls all the way to the front door of 200 MPH.
Nevertheless, it rides well enough to drive every day and if you
keep your foot out of it, fuel economy is reasonable. The 8-speed
shifts on its own just when you need it to and the exhaust barks
the way old-school muscle cars used to. Beautiful Z06 black
aluminum wheels with staggered Michelin Pilots (19s front/20s in
the rear) give it neck-straining grip and look amazing.
True super car performance is hard to come by and certainly far
harder without paying a King's ransom, and yet that's exactly what
this Corvette Z06/Z07 convertible offers. Call today!
