Vehicle Description
This 1986 Chevrolet C10 Silverado is a sharp-looking pickup with
everything you want, including stylish two-tone paint, a loaded
interior, a crate V8, and an overdrive transmission. And there's a
great long-term ownership story that will be great to tell people
right after they compliment your sharp-looking Chevy.
We all love a classic with an interesting tale. The one we're told
on this one starts with a second owner who kept it for nearly 35
years. For the first half of his ownership it was just a pickup,
but as the classic admiration grew, it matured into a proper
classic. His son-in-law (who also happened to be a paint and body
man at the local Chevy dealer) gave it a nice restoration in 2006.
Since then it was treated more like a classic and even went into
storage. It was properly resurrected about a year ago, and it now
is ready for its third owner to start having some fun. The two-tone
Steel Gray and Midnight Black offer a nice gloss and shine that you
get when a family professional does a passion project. The
Silverado trim showcases the straightness of the sheet metal, and
at the same time creates a lower boundary for the two colors.
Chrome bumpers, Rally wheels, and upgraded bedrails complete this
shining package. It's a proper cruising pickup with all the right
pieces you want everywhere from the clean liner paint in the bed to
the added touch or rumble from the dual exhaust.
The stylish black and gray theme continues inside. You can see that
there have been some good investments in keeping everything looking
clean and inviting. This is a premium Silverado with power windows,
power locks, cruise control, and a sliding rear window. You were
also upgraded with an AM/FM/CD stereo that includes an aux input,
and the air conditioning now runs R134a (it will likely need a
recharge to be ideally cold.) It makes for a great driver's truck,
especially with the wraparound gauge panel and classic steering
wheel mounted on a tilt column.
The 2006 restoration also means the addition of a crate motor. So
while it's unknown if the odometer represents the full actual
mileage, it's basically moot because we do have the receipt showing
this has a fresher heart. It's nicely built with an Edelbrock
intake and a newer Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's built to be
a solid cruiser, and that's why you have features like power
steering, power brakes, front discs, newer BF Goodrich T/As, and a
four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
Not only does this truck have a special story, but it also has
terrific paperwork. The sale comes complete with the dealer
invoice, factory buildsheet, original warranty card, owner's
manual, and build receipts. This is the classic Silverado that's
desirable for more than just its sharp style. So don't miss out on
